How Welding Works
Welding is a great way to fuse two materials. Welders go through a great deal of training and practice to be able to legally work. If you need the assistance of a welder, it is best to search online for welding near you.
In this article, we are going to look at how welding works.
The first thing that is important to note is that there are two main types of welding. Wire feed welding and stick welding are the two options that are commonly seen. In wire feed welding a gun is used to feed the wire into the welding area. A machine is used to house the wire which is then fed to the gun. When the trigger is pulled the wire is fed and it is melted to fill the connection area.
Stick welding is a little bit different but it gives you similar results. In this form of welding, there is no gun. Stick welding uses a stick electrode which is melted as it is fed into the welding area. The stick electrodes that are used are filled with different chemicals that get released during the process.
All in all, these were two of the popular ways to weld.
